New policy for visa exemption for foreign tourists to Vietnam

A new statement from the Vietnamese Government Office has been issued foreign tourists whose nationalities are included in Vietnam visa exemption list will be allowed to stay longer in Vietnam and extend their stay up to 30 days, insisted of 15 days.

The police and relevant agencies have been instructed to cooperate with the tourism ministry to apply this new policy for visa-exempted tourists if they are “guaranteed” by a tourism agency and can show their valid return ticket.

Vietnam’s visa waiver policy is eligible for passport holders of Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Japan, Russia and South Korea. Accordingly, those come from these countries are currently allowed to stay in Vietnam for only 15 days per visit and have to wait for at least 30 days before the next entry.
